In the year 2020, are there humans anywhere in the world who are not citizens of any country? Consider the descendants of American slaves who have completely served a 13th Amendment criminal sentence in excess of one year. After serving that sentence, since 1968 the federal government has taken a fundamental citizenship right. That right is the 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms. This is a punishment. Aside from the fact that the 5th Amendment does not permit the government to punish a person more than one time for the same crime, it makes a descendant of American slaves a person without citizenship in any country. After the federal government punished the person a 2nd time after their sentence had been served, the states punished them a 3rd time by taking another fundamental citizenship right. For example, the state of Wisconsin takes away a ex-convict’s 15th Amendment right to run for or hold public office. That is an unConstitutional deprivation of the person’s right to vote for self as a candidate. Not allowing the person to vote for anyone who is an exconvict is an abridgment of that person’s right to vote. The only purpose of a criminal trial is to determine whether the defendant can be lawfully punished. Title 18 section 922(d)(1)(g)(1) punishes without a trial. Why is it that male descendants of American slaves are a small minority of Americas general population while being a large majority of America’s “felons”? The 1968 federal felon law, and all of the state laws that followed it, took away their hope to be respected as a citizen of America; it took away their hope to compete for the better jobs, like mayor, alderman, policeman, fireman, etc.; it took away their right to be treated by the federal and state governments as one hundred percent citizens of America. Three fifths citizenship is not citizenship at all. What does the life of a three fifths citizen feel like? It causes mental illness at best, and it causes criminal insanity at worst. When the unConstitutional Title 18 section 922(d)(1)(g)(1) is either repealed or declared unConstitutional by the courts, all of the unConstitutional state laws that followed it shall disappear. Until this is done, the status quo will continue for male descendants of American slaves.
